Diamond microscopes are high power tools used by jewelers who offer the best diamonds and gems on the market. In order to successfully run a jewelry business, you must be able to correctly identify the authenticity of the diamonds that are bought and sold. Reality has it that many gemstones and diamonds are difficult to grade with the naked human eye, a diamond microscope is a necessary tool.

All jewelers and Diamond graders know that in order to offer the best diamonds and gems on the market, one must first be able to correctly identify their authenticity. Since so many gemstones and diamonds are difficult to grade by the eye alone, a microscope is a needed tool for the professional jewelers and graders.

International Method of Grading: 4C’s - Clarity, Cut, Colour and Carat .
Microscopic Clarity Grading & Indepth knowledge about Cut and International Color Grading as per the GIA, IGI, AGS Standards. How to operate Microscope & Caring, Cleaning & Maintenence of microscope.

Historical Background – Origin – Mining - Major Diamond Deposits of the World and Famous Diamonds.

Physical – Chemical - Optical Properties, Distinctive Features, Inclusions and Characteristics.

Introductions to Microscope : How to operate microscope & different parts of microscope.
Importance of 4' Cs (Cut, Color, Clarity & Carat) :

Clarity: Clarity Grades - Origin and Nomenclature, Clarity Grading Systems, External and Internal Features

Cut: Round Brilliant and its Facets, Development of the Brilliant Cut, Forms of Diamond Cuts. Types of Brilliant Cut, Fancy Cuts, Symmetry Features, Proportion, Instruments for Cut Grading, Cut Evaluation

Color: Color Grades - Origin & Nomenclature, Color Grading Systems, Color Measuring Instruments.

Carat: Weight Estimation of Full Cut, Princess Cut, Oval Cut, Drop Shape etc., Instruments for Weight Estimation of Round Brilliant etc.

Plotting and Grading : Polished Diamonds by Clarity- External and Internal Features, Color, Cut-Symmetry Features, Calculation of Proportions and Cut Evaluation.

Certification : knowledge about different grading systems & understanding the certificate issued by them.

Diamond Synthetics and Identification Techniques - Diamond and its Simulants including Synthetic Moissanite and Synthetic Cubic Zirconia.
